Process

It all starts as a conversation with a client. We talk about what the client wants, we sketch, and we talk some more. From there, we continue to experiment with paper and pencil until we are satisfied with a series of design concepts. Ultimately, we are problem solvers. Most people need design for more than an aesthetic. They need storage, a work surface, or focal point for a room. The first round of designs always creates more questions than answers. That’s an important part of the process. From here, we translate sketches into the computer usually in the form of CAD drawings or 3D renderings. It helps people to see how their design interacts with a particular environment. Once the client has a visual they can react to, it usually gives us everything we need to create a solution that both solves a problem and creates a presence.
